Hiring In-House
Small budget means inexperienced staff who require more effort and time to manage.
vs
Consultant
Strategic direction without implementation means a “plan” sits on a computer for 3 years and your big investment goes down the drain.
You need a Fractional Fundraiser!
It's simple - let me take the weight of fundraising and communications off your shoulders. That's right - eliminate the stress and overwhelm of trying to "do it all", and let me manage the day-to-day of your fundraising and communication needs.
Strategic Oversight
I always start my work with you by getting both a Fundraising & Communication plan that outlines strategic objectives and a work plan for your organization.
Hands-on Implementation
Then I implement those plans! From strategy to stuffing envelopes, if it’s in the plan, I will make sure it gets done.
At Taylor Made, I am committed to helping you make the most of your investment with this innovative approach. Take your organization to the next level WITH A FRACTIONAL FUNDRAISER!
I’ll manage your fundraising.
You focus on changing the world!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Results Oriented
Hiring in-house comes with a lot of risk and not much reward. Just imagine getting better fundraising results without hiring staff, providing space for them, and managing their day-to-day activities.
Forget staff turnover or only hiring someone “your budget can afford”. I provide the best in small-shop fundraising at a budget you can afford, taking away your risk.
Your Relationships
I respect the work you’ve already put into building your relationships and they will always stay with your organization. When I act on your behalf, I’m representing your organization. I do not bring donors to your organization, nor do I take them with me when I leave.
Consistency for Your ROI
Fundraising success takes time and consistency. Your results depend on where you are starting and what your fundraising priorities are. When is the right time to make this investment? That depends on your ambitions for your organization. A Fractional Fundraiser exists to make the most of your investment.
Can you tell me more?
I sure can!

It’s simple!
Fractional fundraising means you get a fraction of a senior fundraiser’s time, and it’s a great alternative to hiring a full-time junior staff member. We start our work by creating a 12-month fundraising plan - then we implement it! You get the best of both worlds – a consultant who can provide expertise & strategy, as well as the “boots on the ground” work that’s normally carried out by staff.
The labour market is competitive right now – especially for qualified fundraisers. Fractional staffing is a powerful solution for non-profits who have tight budgets, but need expertise–Forbes even covered the trend.
-
Usually small organizations have limited budgets for staffing, which means they end up hiring someone junior without much fundraising strategy or experience.
That person usually ends up spending a lot of time and energy on things that are not moving things forward.
Instead, with that budget you can hire a Fractional Fundraiser who brings years of fundraising experience to the table with a passion for implementation and getting it done. Fractional Fundraising clients love this solution to help them grow strategically.
An added benefit is that a Fractional Fundraiser require less supervision meaning less stress for the ED! Bonus!
-
A Fractional Fundraiser costs between $4,000 and $5,000 per month plus tax. Contracts start at 12 months.

Each organization is unique and your fundraising and communications strategy should be unique to you.
As a fundraising and communications generalist I can do it all - from individual giving and major gifts, to grant writing or sponsorships, while also handling your social media and email newsletter. The only thing I don't do are large events.
I start each engagement with a Strategic Planning process to develop a clear fundraising and communications plan with goals and activities to move your fundraising and community outreach forward. Then, I do the work!
Implementation means writing appeals, managing your data, working with your program team to write and submit grants, email newsletters, building relationships, social media management, sponsorships, etc. We help you figure out which activities are a priority and then we do them. We even stuff envelopes when needed!
-
If a fundraiser or fundraising consultant offers guaranteed results, RUN! That is probably a sign they are doing something unethical.
Fundraising success takes time and consistency. Your results depend on where you are starting and what your fundraising priorities are.

As many as it takes to get the work done!
Here's a novel approach - we don't track hours! That's right - we focus on deliverables and outcomes. Your flat monthly fee is a budget-friendly payment plan that reflects our total work done over the year, rather than any particular week or month. Fractional Fundraisers are experienced and efficient and take on only the amount of clients they can handle as well as how much they want to work (shocker - not everyone wants to work 60 hours/week - LOL). Taylor Made clients are delighted at the level of support they receive.

Usually, small to mid-sized organizations have limited budgets for staffing, which means they end up hiring someone junior without much fundraising strategy or experience. That person usually ends up spending a lot of time and energy on things that are not moving fundraising forward.
Instead, Fractional Fundraisers bring their expertise to the table - with a passion for implementation and “getting it done”. We know what will drive results, so we create the plan and make it happen! Clients love this solution to help them grow strategically, and reach their full potential.

1. It’s budget-friendly: for the cost of a junior employee’s salary, you get a fundraiser who has over 8 years of experience, with a proven track record and a passion for getting things done!
2. It can help you avoid high staff turn-over: Often nonprofits with limited budgets are stuck in a vicious cycle. They hire junior staff, but don’t have the time or expertise to invest in their development. That fundraiser ends up feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, and leaves in their first year or two.
Instead, you can hire an expert fractional fundraiser, who will establish and grow your fundraising program until you’re ready to hire a full-time senior fundraiser.
3. No managing or training staff is required. In fact, we provide you with up to date fundraising expertise and guidance because I am committed to consistently investing in my professional development!
4. Hiring staff comes with a lot of risk and expenses - imagine avoiding that risk while growing your fundraising program with an expert who’s accountable to getting the job done. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too!
-
Yes! While I work on 12-month contracts, there’s always an option to renew. In fact, I often encourage it, as fundraising needs steady implementation over time to be truly successful.
The average length of time fractional fundraisers spend with clients is 3 years (much higher than the average 18-month tenure of fundraising staff members). My ultimate goal is to grow your revenue so you can be in a place to hire a full-time senior fundraiser – and I can even help you with the hiring process when you get there.
-
Yes! If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that remote work is as effective – if not more effective – than working from an office. My remote set-up is partly how I work efficiently, and provide the results clients are so pleased to receive.
If you are located in Southwestern Ontario I would be pleased to visit your offices.

A discovery call is a time for me to get to know you and your needs, and ensure we are the right fit. We’ll spend the first half asking questions about your organizations fundraising to determine if my services are right for you.
I only work with non-profits that will genuinely benefit from my services, so if I don’t think I can help I’ll let you know, then do my best to point you in the right direction.
If we are a good fit, I’ll let you know that too, and figure out the next steps to form our partnership!
